Project Overview
Our Client, the SRJ and JG Partnership, purchased an old manufacturing unit occupying approximately 15,000 ft² of Production Space and 8,000 ft² of Office Space in Pentwyn on the outskirts of Cardiff.
Office Visions were commissioned to demolish the site building, reducing the site to its original slab, and to construct 36,000 ft² of prestigious New Offices.
The contract period was 18 months, April 2012 to September 2013 and the form of contract utilised was a JCT Design and Build Contract, 2011
The only element of the previous development that was retained was the portal frame, around which a new structure and Mezzanine was installed.
The new roof and exterior walls were manufactured in Cardiff.
Following completion of the new fabric, the mechanical and electrical installations together with ceiling, walls, stairwell and all exterior ground works were completed.
Upon its completion the complex is recognised by visitors as being perhaps the most prestigious “out of town” office development, within South Wales.
